On Thursday March 7th, an Establishment Ceremony to celebrate groundbreaking at the new Daito-KISCO (DKC) Iksan plant was held at the Western Life Hotel in Iksan, Jeollabuk-do.
KISCO and DKC signed an MOU with Iksan City, Jeonbuk Province last June and have been planning the construction of a new plant in the 3rd general industrial complex in Iksan City. The ceremony was held to commemorate the start of work at the construction site. The groundbreaking ceremony was held in the presence of representatives from KISCO, DKC and the construction company. Initial activities were on-site before guests moved to the Western Life Hotel to celebrate.
KISCO and DKC are planning to expand the production of color and electronic materials through the construction of the Iksan plant. At the ceremony, Daito Chemix President Nagamatsu offered his congratulations and commented that the establishment of a new factory comes at the same time as the 14th anniversary of the founding of the KISCO-Daito Chemix joint-venture company, DKC. KISCO Chairman, Kim Heung-joon also spoke and offered his congratulations.
The DKC Iksan plant is expected to be completed in 2020.
